Journalism shapes how we see the world. Yet in today’s digital age, algorithms reward speed over substance, outrage over nuance, with little room left for stories that really matter. The ones about beauty. About culture. About the soul of a nation.
Italy Now was founded by correspondents Sabina Castelfranco and Alina Trabattoni to tell Italy differently. Grounded in their decades as foreign correspondents, their editorial mission is grounded in a simple conviction: the most meaningful stories take time to uncover and space to breathe.

Editor-in-Chief
Radio and television journalist with 30 years of experience as a correspondent and producer, Sabina Castelfranco was born in Buenos Aires, grew up in Italy, Spain and America, and graduated from the London School of Economics. After passing the Italian State exam as a professional journalist, she became a reporter for major international media outlets where she has been part of Emmy-awarded news teams.

Editor-in-Chief
Print and broadcast journalist with 25+ years at major international news organisations, Alina has lived in China, Argentina, Finland and Belgium and currently divides her time between Italy and the UK. Like Sabina, she studied at the London School of Economics, and completed a master’s at Cambridge before qualifying as a journalist in Italy. She holds a PhD, and serves on the Advisory Council of the World Woman Foundation at Davos as well as on the Centre of Advanced Artificial Intelligence Studies.
