NAPLES — Fulvio Adamo Macciardi became superintendent and artistic director of the Teatro di San Carlo, Italy’s oldest opera house, at the end of 2025. His first full season, marking the 290th anniversary, opens December 2 and looks toward its eighteenth century roots and 300th birthday in 2037. He presents the programm at the Foreign Press Association at Rome.
