Rosalia closes Palermo’s 402nd Festino

PALERMO — Palermo residents enjoyed fireworks on the city seafront waiting earlier this week as the 402nd Festino di Santa Rosalia (Palermo’s patronal festival) celebrations ended, a day after Rosalia’s float ran the length of the Cassaro, the traditional name for the city’s oldest road.
