Villa d’Este, the five-star hotel in Cernobbio on Lake Como, has announced that Sting will give a private concert in its Mosaic Garden on August 9, 2026, in what the estate calls its most anticipated summer event. The concert was announced in March and Sting is represented by Martin Kierszenbaum of Cherrytree Music Company.
An intimate evening in the gardens
The night begins at sunset with a welcome aperitif on the Colonnade Terrace, overlooking the lake and the hotel’s historic facade. Guests then move into the Mosaic Garden, one of the property’s most scenic corners, where a glass green house has been set up as an intimate concert space. Only a limited number of guests will be admitted, placing them close to the stage for the performance.
“I believe that extraordinary places carry a responsibility to create emotions that stay with you,” said Davide Bertilaccio, chief executive of Villa d’Este S.p.A. “At Villa d’Este, music becomes an intimate and powerful experience. With Sting, we want to give our guests not just an evening, but a memory meant to last forever,” he added.

Sting, the singer, songwriter, bassist and activist who co-founded the Police and led the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has built a solo career earning eleven Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and several Academy Award nominations, alongside more than 100 million albums sold.
A gala dinner to close the night
After the concert, the evening continues on the Lake Terrace, lit by candlelight beside the water. Executive Chef Andrea Guerini will lead a gala dinner built around seasonal, local ingredients, reinterpreted with a contemporary touch, closing what the hotel is billing as a night designed to linger in memory.
Villa d’Este first opened as a hotel in 1873, inside a mid-sixteenth century villa set within twelve hectares of gardens on Lake Como. It counts 151 rooms and suites and four private villas, and recently acquired the neighboring Villa Belinzaghi for restoration. The property belongs to Villa d’Este La Collezione, a hospitality group formed in 2025 that also includes hotels in Florence and Como.
Limited packages combining an overnight stay, the concert and the gala dinner are available for guests who want to attend what Villa d’Este is positioning as one of its most exclusive nights of the year.
