BOLOGNA — A major exhibition at Palazzo Fava in Bologna is shedding new light on the early years of elusive street artist Banksy, tracing the cultural and political forces that shaped his work long before global recognition. “Banksy Archive 01: The School of Bristol (1983–2005)” opened on March 27, bringing together more than 300 works, archival materials, and previously unseen documents.
Rather than focusing solely on Banksy’s most famous images, the exhibition places the artist within the wider context of Bristol, the city where his visual language first emerged.
